Calculus Cup :D

woaaaah.. actually, i have some thoughts in my mind that i want to post. but i don't know why, when i face this computer, i just feel lazy suddenly -__- but, these days i had some extraordinary day! i have to finish this post today!!


I'VE DETERMINED!

my new motto:
EVERYDAY IS A NEW ADVENTURE!

i already knew that it's a well-known motto. but i really feel like doing that! finding my new experience everyday.
okay, i will start to tell you two events that happened these days:
(for this post, i will tell you about the first event : Calculus Cup)

1. Calculus Cup

Calculus Cup is an event that my major held and it's an open cup.. for the university in Java and Bali can join. it's all about calculus. a kind of math competition. aaaa i really want to give this a try! i try to persuade my friends to join in a team with me (because it needs 3 person for each team). but i got nothing -_- almost all of them didn't want to join with me.. :( they're all afraid before we haven't prepared anything for it yet. okay.. i thought that i should just give it up then..

some day later, my seniors invited me to join in their team.. WAH! i just said OF COURSE I WANT TO in no time! hahaha i was really happy.. last year i couldn't join this cup because i knew nothing about calculus that time.. but now, after passed my first year in college, ya i know a little more about this kind of thing :D i made a promise to myself, that i'll put my best effort to this.. (of course, because i'm the only one junior in this team, i felt so nervous that time..)

Just call them ka A & ka Z. ('ka' is an anonym for 'kakak' which means 'older brother/sister')

i've seen them in campus. i knew them.. i had a little chat with ka Z in campus a few times, but with ka A, we've never talk before. i thought

"wah, i don't know how i supposed to do when the day come. how i supposed to getting along with them. i wonder if i'll be some help for them."

ya, my nervous was getting higher and higher, so i just feel like studying more and more to distract myself.

the D-day:

we decided to wear 'batik' today!

do you know about 'batik'?

it's one of typical indonesian clothes, just take a look at this: (i got these picture from google.co.id)

see? it's awesome right? :D

i'm glad that when i was arrived at campus, i got a warm welcome from ka A & ka Z. my nervous just got lost to nowhere that time. okay i'm ready! *pray for me*

Stage I:

the number of team that join this cup is 31 teams.

it's all about checking 50 questions whether it's true or false in a half-hour. fortunately, the paper test has 3 page. we decided to divide it, so each person will solve a full page.. Alhamdulillaah, what i've learnt was in my paper.. we felt quite able to solve this, we have a high hope that we'll pass this stage. optimist!

and Alhamdulillaah, we really made it! we pass into Stage II!! :D (which just 18 teams with the highest score could join)

Stage II:

it's about solving a riddle first in order to know the real question we have to solve.. it happened in a open-field and at noon. can you imagine it? it was so hot! maybe it could be another part of the test itself..

we got busy with guessing what this riddle wants, or what the answer of this riddle.. ya that kind of thoughts. i couldn't tell you what's more about this stage, but it obviously a mixed of guess-solve-panic-sweating. but it left us some impression! ka A & ka Z said that

ya.. it's alright if we couldn't make it to Stage III (the last stage), we've already done our best..

but i don't know why, i just don't feel like giving up that time.. i thought that maybe the other teams also facing the hardship like us. please, just wait till they announce the 6 teams that could enter the stage III!!

And we...

REALLY MADE IT!! woaaaah! Alhamdulillah! Subhanallah! it's really happened! :')

Stage III:
flashback:
well.. during the break when we were waiting for the announcement, i don't know why i just like sitting in the seats that actually provide for that 6 teams. the other people just asked me,
"wow you're really optimist that your team will be sat there ya" haha :D
i just could say aamiin :)
so i was extremely happy that we really able to sit there then! IT WAS REAL AMAZING!!
i don't know what to say but ya.. it was a real new experience for me. for being in that atmosphere, i was grateful.. we couldn't make it to the best 3, but i thought i was the happiest person back then :D
*maybe i went overboard but it's true*
i got new spirit, i'll study more, practice more, so i'll be able to make it next year! and i fell in love more with maths ;) do you believe it? just say so~ :D
